The Argentum Prophecies

Matthew Schroeder, Unit Director of PhotographyThe breakthrough occurred in 2008 when he won the “Best Director” prize at Yach Film - Poland's music video awards. Two years later he proposed another film to the same musician and won the festival’s “Grand Prix”. Both these projects were crewed by friends and colleagues as favors and although the musician (Bajzel) was relatively unknown, the videos triumphed over the biggest names in Polish rock, pop, and hip-hop. During these same years, he shot and directed a variety of commercials and “new media” spots for major companies including Jet Blue, Orbit, Kodak, Aflac, and The Hartford. Also in this time he directed and shot a number of music videos for American bands in San Francisco and New York. His filmography additionally includes documentaries (Under Paris), video art (End of the World), television vignettes (USA Networks), corporate films and webisodes (Sony, HP). He's lived in Paris, Prague, London, San Francisco and now Brooklyn, NY.
